Chateau de Vauchelles, France

We will be getting Married at the Chateau de Vauchelles near Amiens, France on the 24th August 2024. We will also be hosting a welcome barbeque on the 23rd August from 4pm. The chateau is located around a 1 hour drive from the Euro Tunnel (currently you can either get the Euro Tunnel or Ferry across but Lydd Airport will begin running flights to Le Touquet shortly). There are lots of places to stay around the Chateau, these hotels usually get booked up pretty quick so we would recommend booking asap (you can reserve your hotel on booking.com and pay on arrival with free cancellation), please see the accommodation page for further info!

Theme

We have decided on a "Black Tie" theme for our wedding.

While we appreciate the elegance and charm of a black tie theme, we want to emphasize that dressing up in black tie attire is of course optional. Our main goal is to ensure that you feel comfortable and enjoy our wedding in a way that suits your personal style and preferences.

That being said, we believe that a black tie dress code is a timeless look and one that would look amazing on the day and in photos for years to come. However, your presence at our wedding is what truly matters to us, and we want you to feel welcome and celebrated regardless of the dress code. We value your presence and would love to see you enjoying yourself on our special day, whether you choose to embrace the black tie theme or opt for a different attire.

On the day

The wedding ceremony will begin at 2pm local time so please arrive at 1pm, there will be welcome drinks waiting for you upon arrival! There is plenty of parking on the site and there are also taxi's available locally (detail on travel page). Once the ceremony is complete there will be drinks in the gardens before lunch and speeches at 4pm. After this, the celebrations will begin and we look forward to creating special memories with you!
